Glebe Little League encourages anyone who would like to learn to be a coach to attend as many of the clinics as possible.  Please note that many of the listed clinics are free to attend.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our Coach Convener.

Saturday April 20
This is a mandatory GLL head coach clinic and equipment distribution day.  More details will be sent directly to our coach volunteers..  

Saturday April 27:
A coaching clinic has been organized by the District.  "Teaching for Tomorrow” will be held on Saturday April 27 at  Nepean Sportsplex (Robertson Room). Participants are required to fill out this form (which contains specific division times).  In lieu of a registration fee, participants may wish to make a donation to their area food bank.  

Wear comfortable clothes, bring a notebook, a glove if you have one, and a bottle of water.   

National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP):
NCCP is offering clinics at a cost of $60/clinic. GLL will reimburse 50% of the fee paid if GLL coaches who register send a confirmation of completion to coach_coordinator@glebelittleleague.ca for review.

The following in-person NCCP clinics will be held in Ottawa over the coming weeks. These clinics are not mandatory for GLL coaches to attend, but they are highly recommended as valuable learning opportunities.

• Pitching & Catching - Thursday, March 21, 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm at the Nepean Sportsplex, Nepean
• Infielding - Sunday, March 24, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Tony Graham Recreation Center, Hall B, Kanata
• Hitting - Thursday, April 4, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Tony Graham Recreation Center, Hall B, Kanata
• Initiation - Sunday, April 21, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Tony Graham Recreation Center, Hall B, Kanata
• Teaching & Learning - Sunday, April 28, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Tony Graham Recreation Center, Hall B, Kanata

Instructions to sign up for the NCCP clinics:

1. For coaches with current NCCP profiles, go to the Ontario Baseball Association's website and follow the link to register for clinics, using your NCCP number. Select 'In-Person Coaching Clinics', then choose the course that you want to sign up for. The clinic website is not searchable by location, so you must select by date.

2. For coaches without an NCCP profile, you will first have to go to the NCCP website to create a profile for yourself, as an NCCP # is required to register for training. Once that is completed, go to the Ontario Baseball Association's website and follow the link to register for clinics, using your NCCP number. Select 'In-Person Coaching Clinics', then choose the course for which you want to sign up. The clinic website is not searchable by location, so you must select by date.
