Spring Ball



Spring “House League” Baseball Program

The spring baseball program begins in May and for most divisions runs until the end of June, except for 19U which runs until early August. Baseball teams play a 10-12 game schedule and there are playoffs in every division except T-Ball and Rookies. Every baseball player receives a team shirt and ball cap as part of their baseball participation fee.

Extended Spring Baseball

Extended Spring Baseball will take place in June and July as an alternative to our competitive Summer Ball program.  Extended Spring Baseball is all about fun and developing further the skills acquired in Spring Ball.  There are no Sort Outs, no try outs, no travel to distant fields and no tiering of teams.  Everyone who registers plays in the at the same level within their Divisions.   
 

2024 Spring Ball Schedules

The following are the general schedules for each division in Glebe Little League for the spring 2024 season (age chart and 2024 registration fees are below). Maps of all GLL field locations may be found on our venues page.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT:  Please be aware that the following programs will only operate if there are sufficient volunteers to help run games and practices.  Parents/Caregivers must opt into one of the volunteer roles during the registration process in order to register their player.  Each program will require lead and assistant coaches and conveners.  Other volunteer roles are also available.
 

Girls Baseball:
Girls in the Rookie, Minors, Majors and Juniors divisions play Sundays in May, June and July.  May 5 is the start date, weather permitting.  Please see GLL's Girls Baseball page for more details.  

T-Ball - One Day (Half) Programs, choice of one location/day/time:

  • Brantwood Park - Sunday - 9:30 - 10:30 AM

  • Days of Play - Monday through Sunday inclusive, except for Fridays

Senior Little League:

  • Home Fields: Brewer Park and Jasmine Park 
  • One Game Weekly, 6:00 PM Start

  • Rainout makeup games on weekend
  • Days of Play - Monday through Sunday inclusive, except for Fridays

Co-Ed Sort Outs for Minors, Majors and Juniors :

Sort outs will be held the weekends of April 6th and 13th for co-ed Minors, Majors, and Juniors. Players will be evaluated for team formation to ensure balance among the teams. If a player is not able to attend the sort out sessions, they will be placed on a National level team.  More details on process and location will be emailed to registered participants closer to the date.

2024 Gleble Little League Spring Registration Fees

REFUND POLICY

  • Registration until six weeks before program start: 100% refund
  • Between four and six weeks before program start: 100% refund, less $25.00 administration fee
  • Between one month and one week before program start: 50% refund
  • Less than one week before program start: 0% refund

Exceptions to this policy may be granted by the GLL Board based on additional information submitted by the parent.

Equipment Required:

  • Baseball glove
  • Running shoes (cleats for Minors to Seniors)
  • GLL will have training equipment as well as batting helmets and bats for use during games and practices.  If players have their own, they are encouraged to bring them. 
  • Note that their are requirements for certain bats depending on the Little League division.  Please check with your coach.
